A good pour and a good start! Bubbly and frothy and an escaped suitably beery scent. After settling, and a subsequent smell, the aroma seems particularly yeasty, whilst not uncommon with lowbrews, it’s a slight dampener on the initial pour.

As the name suggests, it’s an amber ale; dark amber to clarify. The bubbly head lasts a while before fading completely leaving a nice and clear clear liquid.
"Tastes better than it smells"
Not too much in the way of flavour unfortunately and a slight aftertaste at back of throat. From its classic traditional branding and frothy entrance it seems to fall back down to an average standard. It certainly tastes better than the smell suggests; it’s not yeasty, but little to stand it apart.

If you prefer ales to lager, give it a try.
